Since Aura-Soma’s earliest days “Love and Light” has served as its signature, appearing on all the official communications to students. These two words express the essence of Aura-Soma. They are the quality at the heart of the courses, the consultations and living in each Aura-Soma product. Here is how I understand them.
Light first. Aura-Soma is colour and each colour is an expression light. But light is more than the sum of all colours. In English “To bring something to light” means to allow something to be seen. Aura-Soma serves this aim: each bottle declares on the side “Equilibrium is a key to consciousness.” Every bottle carries this intention of Aura-Soma to help bring something to the light for the client, and in that light a new awareness, a new perspective on life can appear, a new way to live can emerge.
Love supports us in this process of light. As human beings we all have vulnerable and sensitive points: the baby that we used to be had no defences. As we journey inside to wholeness we meet these vulnerabilities again, and in these places love supports us. And then, as Aura-Soma encourages us to shine out to the world, again love supports us, in the way that a mother’s loving gaze supports her child on the stage of the school play.
Love and Light are the keys that Aura-Soma offers. I believe they are the qualities at the heart of that which inspired Vicky Wall all those years ago and which remains behind the whole of the Aura-Soma system. A gift of light from love. A gift of love from light. It is my intention to honour these qualities in the work that I share.
